What Paloma uses in Clover, and why

How you connect Clover today
1. Merchant API token
In the Clover Merchant Dashboard open Settings → View all settings → Business Operations → API tokens, create a token with the permissions in the table above, and paste it into Paloma with your 13-character merchant ID. Paloma starts reading your menu, hours and sales right away, usually within a few minutes.
2. Ecommerce key, for payment links
Settings → View all settings → Ecommerce → Ecommerce API Tokens: Clover asks for two-step verification first; create a token with Integration type “Hosted checkout” and paste its private key.
3. Hosted Checkout webhook
Settings → View all settings → Ecommerce → Hosted checkout: paste the webhook address the app shows you, generate the signing secret and paste it into Paloma. Without steps 2 and 3, phone orders are paid at pickup.
Paloma checks each key with Clover as you save it and stores it encrypted; replace the keys or disconnect at any time. Once our listing is published, connecting becomes one Install button in the Clover App Market.
The money never leaves Clover
Clover Hosted Checkout
The guest pays on a Clover page, opened from a text message. Card numbers are never spoken, typed by us or stored.
Your merchant account
Payouts follow your existing Clover settlement. We are not in the flow of funds.
Your kitchen printer
A paid phone order prints on the default order printer in your Clover device setup. If it does not print, the app tells you and can print it again.
Leaving is one click
Disconnect in the app and Paloma stops using your Clover keys at once; delete the API token in your Clover dashboard to cancel it there too. If Clover is your only point of sale, your data is deleted 30 days later; reconnect before then to keep it.
