Text messages from PalomaCEO.ai
Program: PalomaCEO.ai order updates, operated by PalomaFinTech LLC (d/b/a PalomaCEO.ai), 2590 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL 33020, on behalf of restaurants and stores that use our AI phone assistant and ordering pages. Last updated October 14, 2026.
1. What you receive
Transactional messages about an order you placed with a business — on a phone call with its AI assistant or on its online ordering page:
- a link to pay for the order, a notice if that link expires, and a confirmation when your payment is received or, if you pay at pickup, that the order is in;
- for delivery, when a courier is on the way and when the order is on its way to you, with a link to follow the courier where there is one, or a notice if the courier is cancelled;
- a notice if the order could not be placed, and a notice when a refund for it is on its way.
Item holds. When you ask a store to hold an item for you to pick up — on a call with its AI assistant or through its staff — we text you once: how long the item is held for you, or, if it sold out before it could be held, that it could not be held.
Table bookings. When you book a table with a restaurant — on its booking page, on a call with its AI assistant, or by asking its staff — we text you a confirmation with a link to see or cancel the booking, and a notice if the booking is cancelled, by you or by the restaurant.
Catering requests. When you ask a restaurant or store for a catering order on its ordering page, nothing is charged when you ask: the business answers first. We text you once with its answer — that it confirmed your request, with a link to your request's page where you pay for it (or, if you pay at pickup, the confirmation that your order is in); that it can't take it; or, if it did not answer in time, that your request could not be confirmed. Once you pay, you get the order messages listed above.
Sign-in codes. When you ask to sign in on a business's online ordering page with your mobile number, we text a one-time six-digit code to that number so you can prove it is yours. The code works for 10 minutes; do not share it. Signing in is optional, and you can place an order without it.
Alerts to a business's own staff. A business that uses Paloma can enter the mobile number of its owner or manager in its Paloma settings to get a text when one of its orders needs a person — for example, an order that did not reach its point-of-sale system or was not printed, or a courier that was cancelled. These texts start with "Paloma:", go only to the number the business entered, and are about that business's own orders.
What each business sends. Each business decides which order updates it sends: it can turn off payment links, payment confirmations, expired-link notices, courier updates and refund notices, so you may get fewer of these messages than listed here. When a business does not send payment links, you pay at pickup or on its ordering page. The confirmation of an order you pay at pickup, a notice that your order could not be placed or that its courier delivery was cancelled, item-hold, table-booking and catering-request messages, sign-in codes and our replies to STOP, START and HELP are always sent.
We do not send marketing texts.
2. How you opt in
On a phone call. The call is recorded, and the assistant says so first. You place an order and confirm it when the assistant reads it back; the number you are calling from (or another number you give the assistant) is the number the order's messages go to, and before you confirm, the assistant tells you it will text the payment link, or the order confirmation if you pay at pickup, to that number. No message is sent for a call in which you placed no order, asked for no hold and booked no table.
Verbal consent script (phone calls)
These are the words the AI assistant's instructions require on every call. The business name, the assistant's name, the items, the total and the times change from call to call. The order sentence about the text and the first words are fixed; for a hold or a table booking the wording may vary, but the assistant always says, before your yes, that the deadline or the booking confirmation will be texted to the number you are calling from.
- First words of every call, before anything else: "Hi, this is Paloma, the AI assistant for Joe's Pizza. This call is recorded for quality." In Spanish: "Hola, soy Paloma, la asistente de IA de Joe's Pizza. Esta llamada se graba para control de calidad."
- Order, before you confirm. The assistant reads back the order and its total and asks: "I'll text the payment link to this number — shall I place it?" When the business takes payment at pickup: "I'll text you the confirmation at this number — shall I place it?" In Spanish the same sentence says "le mando el enlace de pago por mensaje a este número" (or "le mando la confirmación por mensaje a este número"). If you gave the assistant another number, "this number" is that number.
- Item hold, before you confirm. The assistant reads back the item, the quantity and the pickup time and says the pickup deadline will be texted to the number you are calling from, for example: "The pickup deadline will be texted to this number — shall I hold it?"
- Table booking, before you confirm. The assistant reads back the number of guests, the day, the time and your first name, and says the confirmation, with a link to cancel, will be texted to the number you are calling from, for example: "I'll text the confirmation with a cancel link to this number — shall I book it?"
- Your yes. Only your "yes" places the order, the hold or the booking, and only then is the text sent. Without it, nothing is texted.
A sample call:
- Assistant: Hi, this is Paloma, the AI assistant for Joe's Pizza. This call is recorded for quality. How can I help?
- Caller: Hi, can I get a Margherita 12-inch for pickup?
- Assistant: Sure, one Margherita 12-inch. What name should I put it under?
- Caller: Jane.
- Assistant: Thanks, Jane. Anything else?
- Caller: No, that's it.
- Assistant: How about a lemonade with that, for $3.50?
- Caller: No, thanks.
- Assistant: Alright Jane, so that's one Margherita 12-inch for pickup, $14.99 plus tax. I'll text the payment link to this number — shall I place it?
- Caller: Yes, please.
- Assistant: Done. The payment link is on its way to this number by text, within a minute.
- Text that follows: Joe's Pizza: Your order (1× Margherita 12") is ready to pay: https://… — link expires in 15 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out.
Record of your consent. Every call is recorded and transcribed. The recording is kept for 30 days, or 7 where a shorter period is set for the business's account; the transcript, the call's card with the caller's number, and the order are kept while the business's account is active (see our Privacy Policy). Stopping after you said yes: reply STOP to any of our texts, at any time (section 5); HELP gives our rates and contact line.
On the ordering page. You type your mobile number into the checkout form. The form says, next to the number, that by placing the order you agree to get texts about it at that number — the payment link, your receipt and order updates — that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Placing the order is your request for these messages.
Through an AI assistant. When you ask an AI assistant you use, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to order pickup or delivery for you from a business that uses Paloma, you give the assistant your mobile number for the order. Our ordering service tells the assistant to read the order and that number back to you, to tell you that texts about the order, such as the payment link or the confirmation, may be sent to that number, and to place the order only after your yes. Placing the order is your request for these messages; they are the same order messages listed above, and nothing else is sent because of it. See our Guest Terms.
For an item hold. On a call, you ask the assistant to hold an item and say yes when it reads back the item, the quantity and the pickup time, and says it will text the pickup deadline to the number you are calling from. If you ask the store's staff to hold an item, the deadline is texted to the mobile number you give them for it. No text is sent for a hold you did not ask for, and only United States and Canada mobile numbers receive one.
For a table booking. On the restaurant's booking page you type your mobile number and tap "Book table". The words under the button say that by booking you agree to get texts about this booking at this number — the confirmation with a link to cancel, and a notice if it is cancelled — that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Booking is your request for these messages. On a call, you say yes after the assistant reads the booking back and says the confirmation will be texted to the number you are calling from; a call from a hidden number books nothing. If you ask the restaurant's staff to book a table for you, the confirmation is texted to the mobile number you give them for it. No message is sent for a booking you did not ask for, and only United States and Canada mobile numbers receive one.
For a catering request. On the restaurant's or store's ordering page you choose Catering, type your mobile number into the form and tap "Request catering". The words next to the number say that by requesting catering you agree to get texts about it at that number — whether the restaurant or store confirms it, with a link to pay, or can't take it, and then your receipt and order updates — that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Requesting catering is your request for these messages. The assistant does not take catering requests on calls. No message is sent for a request you did not send, and only United States and Canada mobile numbers receive one.
For a sign-in code, you type your mobile number into the sign-in or checkout form of the business's ordering page and tap "Text me a code to sign in"; typing the number alone sends nothing. The words next to the button say that a one-time code will be texted to that number and that message and data rates may apply. One code is sent for each tap, and nothing else is sent because of it. Only United States and Canada mobile numbers can receive sign-in codes.
For a business's staff alerts, the business's owner or manager types the number into the business's Paloma settings, under "Text this mobile when an order needs a person", and saves it; the settings say that message and data rates may apply and that STOP stops these texts. Only a number whose user agreed to get these alerts may be entered. Clearing the number in the settings, or replying STOP, stops them.
3. Message frequency
Usually one to three messages per order, up to about six for a delivery with courier updates, one message per item hold, one or two per table booking (the confirmation, and a notice if it is cancelled), and one per catering request (the business's answer), then the messages of its order once you pay. Message frequency varies with how often you order.
Sign-in codes are sent only when you ask for one: one message per request, at least 30 seconds apart; to one number, no more than 5 an hour for one business, and no more than 3 in 15 minutes and 10 a day across all businesses.
Staff alerts come only when an order of that business needs a person: one text for each such order event.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier.
5. How to stop or get help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; you will get one confirmation and nothing more. This covers sign-in codes too: after STOP no code is sent to your number until you reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@palomaceo.ai.
We also understand a stop request in your own words or in Spanish, Russian or Ukrainian — for example "stop texting me", PARAR, СТОП or ВІДПИСАТИСЯ — and confirm it once, in that language.
If you ask the business in a reply to stop texting you, it can stop our texts to your number for you; you will not get a confirmation then. Reply START to opt back in.
Other replies go to the business that texted you about your order, hold, booking or catering request, when we can tell which one. No one answers them by text, and no one watches for them as they arrive: for anything urgent, call the business.
